Deidre Kelly is a California transplant who spent her childhood swimming in the ocean and playing with her sister in their treehouse. In the summer, she harvested sun-kissed oranges from her grandmother’s garden and made fairy homes from hibiscus flowers. It wasn’t until Deidre experienced the changing seasons of the midwest that her relationship with the natural world deepened and her excitement for connecting children with the outdoors unfolded.

Deidre holds an MSW from Washington University and has over a decade of experience working with children. She has formally taught in both public and private early childhood classrooms, as well as led youth in growing fruits, vegetables & herbs on urban farms and in community gardens. Deidre is passionate about changing the current educational landscape by offering a more holistic, enchanted and earth-centered approach to learning.
