When we respectfully engage children in exploring their questions, we model the collaborative inquiry, thoughtful observation, and deep caring that gives rise to just communities.

At TLP, we prioritize anti-bias, anti-racist, culturally sensitive teaching and learning.

We call attention to the ways in which people are different and the same — honoring individual and group identity. We intentionally introduce issues of fairness and unfairness, and guide children in thinking critically and taking action.  

We believe that the ways we engage with the youngest members in our community speak volumes about the kind of society in which we hope to live. Small hands and minds are capable of amazing things!
